Hi, I'm Soofia Nasar. I've run Fairwood Family Daycare out of my home in the Fairwood neighborhood since 2006, caring for children from 3 months to 12 years. Before this I taught preschool in the Bellevue School District, and I bring that same hands-on teaching into a small, calm home setting where kids get real attention.

Letters, numbers, crafts, songs, and outdoor time, paced to where each child actually is. Older kids get help getting ready for kindergarten.

Infants to school-agers learn side by side in a mixed-age home, with the day adapted to each child's stage.
Infant Care
We follow your baby's own feeding and sleep schedule. Lots of holding, tummy time, and one-on-one time.

First words, first steps, first friends. We give them room to try things on their own, with a steady routine to lean on.
Toddlers
Art, music, sensory bins, and plenty of pretend play. This is a busy, hands-on age and we plan the day around it.
Preschool / Pre-K
Letters, numbers, and the day-to-day skills that make kindergarten easier — taking turns, listening, raising a hand.
School-Age Care
Before and after school care with homework help and time to just be a kid. We walk to and from the nearby school.

I'm Soofia Nasar, and Fairwood Family Daycare is my home. I opened it in 2006 after teaching preschool in the Bellevue School District, and I've raised three children of my own.
Running a home daycare means I'm the one with your child all day — not a rotating staff. That's the part I care about most. I get to know each family, learn what works for each kid, and actually watch them grow over the years they're with me.

We provide care for children ages 3 months through 12 years. That includes infants, toddlers, preschoolers, pre-K children, and school-age kids who need before and after school care.

Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: Closed
We're also closed on observed holidays, with advance notice.
How much does care cost?
Full-time monthly tuition runs from $850 for school-age children up to $1,400 for infants, with lower rates for part-time schedules. Drop-in care is $15/hour (three-hour minimum), and there's a one-time $100 registration fee. See the Tuition & Rates page for the full table.
